About Us: R. David Heekin, MD, FACS
Founding father of the practice, Dr. Heekin is a Fellowship-Trained Orthopedic Surgeon with a broad background in orthopedics and sports medicine. He is currently the Medical Director of the Orthopedic Center of Excellence at St. Vincent’s Medical Center. He was the Chief of Total Joint Replacement Surgery at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC, where he was the chief surgeon and principal investigator in a number of large, landmark trials evaluating new approaches to total hip and knee replacement
